2:00 Cocktails & Music (outdoors) / 3:00 Performance (indoors)
Barnsdall Art Park
4800 Hollywood Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90027
All proceeds support the Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival, which provides access to free performances of classical plays to tens of thousands of Angelenos each summer.
In 2004, we presented our first production in a Los Angeles city park, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, on the grounds of the Hollyhock House in Barnsdall Art Park. Opening night attendance? 15 people and one dog.
Since that time we've performed free productions of Shakespeare plays for 200,000 people, and moved a couple of miles away to Griffith Park. But on April 26, we're going back where it all began for our annual spring benefit!
On April 26, join us for cocktails, light snacks and live music on the Barnsdall Art Park plaza, followed by a performance indoors in the Barnsdall Gallery Theater:
Opening remarks by Councilmember Mitch O'Farrell
Tom Stoppard's 15 Minute Hamlet
Scenes from Twelfth Night, As You Like It, Midsummer Night's Dream, Macbeth and the AUDIENCE FAVORITE scene picked by ISC fans!
And we'll be honoring Councilmember Tom LaBonge for his unwavering support of the festival.
We'll be raffling off an APPLE WATCH!
And come prepared to bid on great auction items from:
