This fall, we're offering our popular Scene Study and Monologue Studio classes, in addition to two new courses to help deepen your skills and expand you confidence. They are all taught at our indoor Independent Studio.

Because we believe that the ultimate goal of classwork is performance whether for professional or personal reasons, the Scene Study Classes and Monologue Studio students will have the opportunity to perform their work in a presentation Monday, March 19 at 7:00 pm, open to friends, family, and the public. This is not a requirement for attending the classes, but is a great way to celebrate the work!

Please note, that once you are enrolled, classes are non-refundable. Thank you for your understanding!

Taught by Joseph Culliton

We all want to make choices that are dynamic, informed, and entertaining, and this class is designed to help you do just that. Based in thorough text analysis and the fundamentals of verse speaking, these classes will help you develop a personal technique to connect to poetic texts.

The beginning class lays out the basics of verse speaking and connecting to Shakespeare's words in a personal way. It is perfect for actors new to Shakespeare performance, or people with a general interest in learning more about the acting of Shakespeare. All students present their text and work on their feet in every class.

In the advanced class, expectations are more intense and the work is more detailed and demanding. It requires a familiarity with acting Shakespeare and assumes a working knowledge of classical texts. Commitment is paramount, and participation is at the discretion of ISC and the instructor.

All students present their text at every class.
